OPTIONAL SUMMER UNIFORM May be worn from the first day of school until the last Friday in October and from the first Monday in April until the end of the school year.

Other stores that carry the shorts and pants are: Target, Old Navy and JC Penny
*Pants and shorts MUST be uniform pants or shorts. No cargo pants or shorts are allowed. No skinny jeans or shorts are allowed.

Dress Code Extras

Watches (not toy watches) may be worn. No smart watches may be worn during the school day.
Cell phones may not be carried or used during the school day.
No bracelets are allowed.
Plain or plaid headbands are allowed (No flowers, bows, bandannas or prints)
Crosses on chains are allowed (No other necklaces)
Girls may wear 1 pair post earrings, no dangling earrings.
No Jewelry on gym days.
No eye makeup. (may wear foundation or cover up)
Clear nail polish only.
No excessively long hairstyles, unusual or distracting hairstyles, and unnatural colors.
No shave lines, designs, words, numbers, etc. into hair.

Dress Down Days

DRESS DOWN DAYS

Optional Dress Down Days are sponsored by the Student Council each month. Donations will be collected for each Dress Down Day and sent to local charities. These charities will be announced when the Dress Down Day is announced each month. Themes are announced prior to the dress down day and may include sports teams, colors, holidays, etc. Student are permitted to wear jeans or other slacks (with the exception of yoga pants), or shorts, capris and a t-shirt (during summer uniform), sweatshirt or other shirt all of which contain language and pictures appropriate to a Catholic school. Shorts must be of an appropriate length (mid-thigh). No low cut tops. No open toe or open back shoes, sandals or flip flops are permitted in the interest of student safety.

Volunteer Requirements

Studies show a child's education is greatly enhanced when a parent or guardian offers their time and talent to the school. Getting involved provides a very important service to your child and their peers. Parents, grandparents and guardians are vital to our school community. Nothing teaches hope, kindness, courage, and compassion like helping others! Volunteering is also a great way to meet other parents and guardians, and have a great time!

Any parent or guardian that would like to volunteer or chaperone a school field trip or school event is required to obtain the below requirements and clearances. This is mandated by the state and we can not allow anyone who does not have all of these requirements to volunteer. Gift Card Sales

The GSCS gift card program is an easy way for you to earn credit towards your family's fundraising goal!

Here's how it works: local stores allow us to buy gift cards in bulk at a discount, then you buy them from us and use them as you would any other store gift card. You earn 4.5% of your total purchase back toward your fundraising goal just for getting groceries, gas, prescriptions, or other necessities you'd be buying anyway! We have gift cards on hand for Giant, Redners, Wegmans, Weis, CVS, and Kohls. (Kohls does allow you to pay any store charge card balances with a gift card.)

During the school year, gift cards are sold every Tuesday and Thursday. Send in your order with your student along with cash or a check made out to GSCS. The cards will come home with your student on the same day, and order forms will be sent home during the first week of school.
